Call Of Duty Show Time

War. It is a human invention that no one likes - except for some politicians - but it is a topic that sells many titles for consoles and computers, especially when the player is placed in first person perspective, ie, in the eyes of the soldier. There are games of military strategy that had huge success over the past two decades, but few people have the skills to reach general. So when it comes to picking up a brutal M249 SAW 100 consecutive shots, which are not missing squares ready to carry the weapon and secure a place in the line of confrontation.
This mixture between theme and genre, is one of the most successful ever in video games and hit the buttons in our early 90s, with the release of "Wolfenstein 3D" - 3D that had nothing, except the feeling depth created by the movement of 2D blocks. Other famous titles as soon as you followed the footprints, such as "Doom," "Quake" (the first truly 3D) and "Unreal Tournament". Countless games of this type that came out until now, where even aliens are imagined scenarios and handguns by magnetic pull, but there is a particular series that remains true for the transposition of human reality to the gaming experience - "Call of Duty ".
Excluding the expansions and parallel releases, this series began in 2003, produced by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, and held its first three major titles in stages of World War II, including landing of allied troops in Normandy - is played always on the side of the allies and fighting for different nations. In the fourth release, was added the subtitle "Modern Warfare", we always like to play American soldiers, and the scenarios reflect more recent conflicts, such as Russia and Azerbaijan. There's even a stealth mission in Pripyat, the city abandoned after the Chernobyl nuclear explosion. The fifth title, "Modern Warfare 2", carries the player into Afghanistan and a favela in Rio de Janeiro (this imbued with a peculiar tension). There is also a Russian invasion on American soil, where the White House is totally destroyed and the president's whereabouts is unknown. A controversial part of this game is passed the international airport in Moscow, where a group of terrorists attacked a crowd without mercy - which caused some controversy in the international community.
A feature always present in the Call of Duty "is the possibility to use any weapon in the game, even of enemies who are settled on the floor near their bodies, fixed or rotary-caliber. Once the ammo becomes something limitless, because every step there is a new opportunity to hold more bullets each category. The drawback is that the player must search for the correct ammunition for the firearm that loads and, moreover, can only carry two different weapons - even choose to combine two small pistols or a high caliber machine gun with a rifle with telescopic sight . But throughout the series, the choice is vast - from the primitive guns used by the Germans in the middle of the century to the latest technology with extensive clips and thermal sights, going through various types of heavy equipment, Desert Eagles, AK-47 , MP5 silenced ... a feast of war!Unlike similar games, here's weapon resort - the legendary knife activated by pressing "1" - is used as a single movement ("melee") to be applied in a sudden reaction in situations of close combat, when an enemy too close and not enough time to recharge or replace the firearm.
Another aspect to highlight is the already mentioned unlimited use of stationary equipment of high caliber, an experience that has evolved over the series for new methods - although limited use of their potential. In "Call of Duty 3," for example, you can fire the cannon of a tank in motion. The evolution that "Modern Warfare" offers is a mission in the skies within a bomber, where there are two types of ammunition for the security of a military column that moves on land. In "Modern Warfare 2", the control of a drone (unmanned aerial vehicle by humans) is done on a laptop with satellite connection in the middle front, where the player manipulates the precise target of the missile design.
In this series there is not much freedom of exploration. There are many maps where you can disobey the lines of play and invent moves to outflank an enemy, but generally all games follow one path is hard and difficult to pass by without a front to annihilate the enemy. Another negative aspect to highlight in this Call of Duty is also embedded in the actual gameplay (playing experience) and refers to the process of placing the digital opponents and their artificial intelligence. Given that the development scenarios is phased in, to obey the fiction behind the weapons, enemies appear almost always in the same place and by waves, ie we need to ensure a protected and clean all the bad guys of the screen before advance to the next area. Otherwise, death is certain.
Even if we compare this gap to the remarkable complexity of artificial intelligence "Far Cry" - which was almost impossible to repeat a method of attack for more than two attempts - is not reason enough to pass along any of the major titles in this series. Some of them have been overtaken by technology, but all with war and created environments that provide several hours of training in marksmanship, either with the computer mouse or joystick with an analog command. That this training is essential to online component always present in multiplayer. This area was never forgotten those titles and has been a great bet for future titles such as "Call of Duty - Black Ops," which will be released in September, from the first day of production that has a team to develop the game in network and promises to be a good experience for your fingers more efficient.
