Valve Launches New Game: Alien Swarm
Alien swarm was a mod , a total conversion mod for UT2004. It was basically a 4 player co-op game , similar to Left 4 Dead series.
The team responsible for its creation was brought to Valve , and was involved in the creation of Left 4 Dead and Portal 2. But now they sent the world a surprise, a new Alien Swarm , totally source engine converted.

Alond with some updates to the source SDK , this 3rd person shooter looks great.
The old one now looks old….:
And it would seem to me that this graphics wouldn’t pull me into many hours of gameplay even being free….
But the new version shows the world again ( I mean again because Battlefield Heroes is kind of free and is great) that free games aren’t the bad thing , they are in fact pioneers sometimes.
