New Athlon II x4 almost here (X4 645)

The next Athlon X4 II will have the name 645 and should hit the stores between August and September.



Athlon X4 II 645 will be the new flagship of the line Athlon II, a series of processors for the general consumer market, which seeks the best value for money. The 645 will have an operating frequency of 3.1 GHz, 100 MHz more than the current Athlon X4 II 640. The format will be maintained: AM3, with compatibility for most of the AM2 + motherboards. The maximum thermal dissipation (TDP) is 95 watts, the same as X4 640. The second-level cache is 2 MB total (512 KB per core).
